A Variety of Practice Methods

The app allows you to choose from four different clefs, fixed-do/movable-do, and chromatic/non-chromatic syllables to suit your needs.

Clefs

You can practice with four different clefs: treble, alto, tenor, and bass. By default, the guide vocal is a unison of female and male voices, but if you select "Voice > As Is" in the setting menu, the guide vocal will be female voice for treble and alto clefs, and male voice for tenor and bass clefs.

Movable-do/Fixed-do and Chromatic/Non-Chromatic

You can practice in both movable-do and fixed-do. If you want to focus on absolute pitch, you should start with fixed-do, if you want to focus on relative pitch, you should start with movable-do. Ultimately, It's better to learn both. You can also choose from chromatic and non-chromatic syllables. It is recommended to use chromatic syllables, but if you find it difficult, you may want to use non-chromatic syllables. (See "Types of Solfege" for more details.)
